Simple formula to remember: Anti-war=insane asylum.

April 03, 2003 ~ 2:10 p.m.

Honest to God, just what the hell is going on? People are turning mad in their approach to opposing the war in Iraq. Well, actually, we already knew these people were mad. This is just the proof.

In Etaples, France, a war grave memorial dedicated to British soldiers who died on the northern shores of France during World War II was defaced by thugs. In French, slogans were written that said, Take away your rubbish [referring to the dead Brit soldiers six feet under]. It is polluting our soil, Roastbeefs [French derogatory slang for the English] go home, Saddam will win and shed your blood, and, under a crude swastika, Death to the Yankees. This wasnt even in the heart of France, but a community on the shores of the English Channel. The French foreign minister said that he (and France) would not tolerate anti-Americanism. Which, of course, means that it will be tolerated. In France, a policy of no tolerance always amounts to pure lip service. Just ask French Jews. They would know better than anyone, and theyve been hearing we wont tolerate prejudice against you for only God knows how long. To paraphrase R. Emmett Tyrell, Jr., the polite French wring their hands and say they wont tolerate it, but business always goes on as usual.

Chirac enjoys 80 percent popular approval in France and slightly more than half the French population hopes that Saddam Hussein will win the war.

Defending the use of the phrase French fries is definitely as far as Ill go in terms of defending anything to do with France. If not for the wife, Id never set foot there again.

But, you say, thats just the typical French being well, typical. Not so fast, mon amis.

Labour party MP from Glasgow, George Galloway, has stated that British soldiers have every reason to be seen as targets and that the Iraqis are the only ones fighting a legitimate war. Referring to his own countrys soldiers as wolves, Mssr. Galloway essentially has stated that, along with the French, he hopes Saddam wins the war and that he will turn a blind eye to every drop of British blood that is shed in the conflict.

As cynedra reported, an anti-war protestor in Florida was offended by a support-the-troops rally hosted by talk-show host Glenn Beck. I see. This person, among several thousands of others, obviously plans to revive the baby killers taunt as soon as our boys come home. How pleasant.

Yep, what more proof of anti-war madness do you need?
