But Trotsky could have kicked your ass, Minister May 25, 2005 ~ 9:35 p.m. During British MP George Galloway's testimony to the U.S. Senate regarding his alleged oil kickbacks from Saddam Hussein, pro-war journalist Christopher Hitchens approached Galloway with some questions. The far-Left Scotsman, who founded the ill-named Respect party and has a colorful history of joining hands with Gerry Adams, telling Saddam Hussein in person, "Sir, I praise your strength, your courage, your indefatigeability," and remarking that British soldiers in Iraq were "wolves" and deserved to be shot at, called Hitchens "drink-sodden ex-Trotskyist popinjay." I don't know about you, but I'd much prefer a Trotskyist to a blatant Stalinist. Any day of the week. M.E.M.
