Red Ken can't talk of "chiselling little crooks"

March 29, 2006 ~ 4:10 p.m.

London Mayor Ken Livingstone is still at it he cant keep his great big prejudiced (in a groovy Left-wing way, you understand) mouth shut.

U.S. diplomat Robert Tuttle has refused to pay the Congestion Charge at the U.S. Embassy which Red Ken thinks should be included in his charge zone. The Embassy disagrees, citing the Vienna Convention, which, they claim, excludes diplomats from paying the charges.

The mayor is not happy. Heres what he had to say about it: It would actually be quite nice if the American ambassador in Britain could pay the charge that everybody else is paying and not actually try and skive [get] out of it like some chiselling little crook.

Chiselling little crook and friend of the evil George W. Bush too, dont forget! It certainly helps that Mr. Tuttle and the Embassy are both American. They fuel Mr. Livingstones hatred to ionospheric levels.

Ken, itd be nice if you didnt liken Jewish reporters to Nazi concentration camp guards. Itd be nice if you didnt invite a homophobic, Islamofascist cleric to London to hold buddy-buddy press conferences with. Itd be nice if you didnt tell two Jewish builders to see if they could build a better facility under the ayatollahs. And itd especially be nice if you hadnt instituted the congestion charge to line your own pockets.

Besides that, high-profile guests, such as diplomats, should be exempt from the road charges, be they American, French or Chinese. It does not show much hospitality to demand otherwise.

While agreeing that the U.S. should pay the congestion charge, the London Assembly reported Livingstone to the Standards Board for England for his comments which member Bob Neill called off-hand and irrational. Civil libertarians Liberty and Law also want to punish the Mayor over his lack of respect.

Meanwhile, the Mayor is appealing against a months suspension for telling a Jewish reporter for The Evening Standard that he reminded him of a concentration camp guard.

Keep it up, Ken. At this rate, youre handing your Conservative rival Steve Norris whom you just barely beat in 2004 a slam-dunk victory.
