Red wine in the minestrone soup

December 08, 2002 ~ 7:30 p.m.

What I did today:

 Woke up at 6 p.m.

 Threw on bathrobe between shivers.

Started at the image of myself in the foyer mirror with shocks of long hair going this way and that.

Shuffled into the kitchen to get sustenance.

Fixed a mug of motherfin strong coffee.

Heated up a pan of minestrone soup and fixed toast.

Washed out the weekends wine bottles and threw them into the recycling bin.

Padded back into the bedroom to collect the one lone glass of red wine left that I fell asleep before finishing.

Poured glass of wine into the minestrone soup.

Threw on CD of 80s hits and reminisced about my pubescent days over The Fixx One Thing Leads To Another.

 Went into Diaryland.

Planned to go back to bed in three hours.

Ah, Sunday!

In the news:

Kuwaitis reject Saddam Husseins apology for the 1990 invasion of their country. Saddam also fails to get Kuwait to fight with Iraq against the Americans.

Saddam releases missive stating he does not possess weapons of chemical or biological mass destruction.

An outcome of the latest UN weapons inspections (i.e. sitting around drinking mint tea and issuing statements that contradict American assertions) that surely surprises no-one.

Youve had your last chance, Saddam, you pompous son of a bitch. Now prepare to get taken down.
