They have no understanding on just how safely they wallow in their self-righteous words

July 27, 2004 ~ 2:58 p.m.

A great paragraph to ponder on today:

[I] muse at the spoiled and keening whine of those who have no knowledge of life or death, of sacrifice and sorrow, of honor or courage, who speak demeaningly of those who do still pay the price for the freedom which allows the immature and selfish to raise their voices. If the ones who disparage our warriors could only have their just recompense, be they politicians or merely soft, coddled civilians, then they would have the privilege of living in a Communist or Sharia-ridden country for only a few years. Those who have never seen the bodies of those who were shot for speaking out, never been around those who have had their tongues cut out for daring to criticize their leaders, have no understanding on just how safely they wallow in their self-righteous words. But then, they would also be strangers to the word, honor. katanabright, July 26

Katana also recently brought up the subject of our unfinished business in Bosnia, and this is a subject Ive been meaning to tackle at some point. Most of the same criteria the anti-war types are banging on about regarding Iraq are also true of our war against Serbia, and I intend to make the comparisons at some point soon.

Right now, however, I am just trying to get through the rest of this week. On Friday, I go back to Boston for 17 days. I am arriving on the last day of the Demoncrapic Convention, thank God, and Im glad the city will have returned to normal for my time there.

Sox fans jeer Kerry

Speaking of the Demoncraps, you hear so much about how Red Sox fans are all a bunch of angry liberal die-hards from the Peoples Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

So, how is it that their own junior senator, who made an appearance at Fenway Park on Sunday night, was resoundingly booed by the hometown crowd? Its been said that Red Sox fans have never treated politicians with respect and its good to see that they made no exceptions for Kerry.

Needless to say, my pride as a BoSox fan has only been bolstered.

How does beating up an anti-abortion activist promote peace?

And how about this gem, courtesy of this report: One group of several thousand people protesting the war in Iraq won a judges permission to march past the FleetCenter. The group converged on the Boston Common with a smaller group voicing opposition to abortion. Angry shouts were exchanged and one abortion opponents sign was ripped from him as peace demonstrators attempted to hit him, news photographers said.

Yep, assaulting a right-to-lifer with his own signnever a better example of what the peace, love and tolerance crowd is really all about.
