Bonsoir, Nice May 06, 2003 ~ 5:31 p.m. NICE, FranceWow, man, am I hot. Its only 75, but it feels like 95. The sun is just as strong as ever. And what did I do with today? Spent more time sunbathing on the beach, bien sur. At least Im drinking a Perrier, not a Heineken. You live and learn. The ladies went into Monaco today, but I went there back in October. Personally, I am not impressed with the place. The Royal Palace and the Old Town surrounding it are charming, and the view of Monaco Bay with Monte Carlo across the water is a sight to behold, but well, I still feel like, been there, done that. Monte Carlo itself doesnt do anything for me as I do not go in for casinos. But at least Jo will get to see it all. I wanted my last day herewe board a flight back to London tonightto be relaxing. I am going to miss the beach, the Promenade des Anglais, belle poque architecture, little cups of trs strong coffee, opening and closing every encounter with a sprightly bonjour and merci, and balmy breezes. So Nice (nee-se) was nice (nigh-se), but its time to be getting back home. I have a job to do, but at least itll be a short week. Cant be all bad. I already know what the first words out of everyones mouth in the office will be: Gosh, did you get enough sun? Yeah, I did. So that's why I need to head back to England so the red will get a chance to fade to brown. But that is the best part, don'tcha know. Bonsoir, Nice. M.E.M.
